GAME DAYS: OJI Highpoint runs from September to February. Our season consists of 12 regular, 10-end games played as double headers on 6 Sunday's plus 2 play-off games played as double headers on the last day of our season. (Total of 7 Sundays.) Please refer to the OJI Highpoint Schedule for game days. |

TEAM REGISTRATION: Teams are to expected to enter with at least four (4) members per team by completing the OJI Highpoint Application package and submitting it to the Highpoint Division 1 Manager by the application deadline. Teams submitting entries with less than 4 members must immediately contact the Division Manager to help search for an eligible fourth. The fourth member must be registered before the first OJI Highpoint Division 1 game. |

JUNIOR/JUVENILE ELIGIBILITY: All team members and any spares must be eligible for junior and/or juvenile playdowns in the province of British Columbia or in the state of Washington. |

COACH TRAINING: Teams new to OJI Highpoint Division 1, must have an NCCP Trained Competition Coach (USA Coaches must have Equivalent). Otherwise, Coaches are required to register for an NCCP Competition Coach Training Workshop at their first opportunity considering location and date. |

COACH EVALUATIONS and CERTIFICATION: 2nd season OJI Highpoint Teams are expected to have a fully Certified Competition Coach. NCCP Trained Coaches are required to register immediately for the Making Ethical Decisions (MED) and On-Ice Evaluations necessary to complete Competition Coach Certification. |

COACH ALTERNATES: All Teams are required to have a designated "Coach Alternate", preferably an NCCP Trained or Certified Competition Coach. Exemptions will be considered by Optimist Junior Interclub in special situations. Only one Coach, Coach Alternate or registered Fifth player will be allowed ice privileges for pre-game practices and time-outs provided they have appropriate footwear. |

PLANNING MEETINGS: Coaches are required to attend two planning meetings, one pre-season and one prior to playoffs. |

BLOCK SYSTEM: OJI Highpoint Division 1 plays an "A", "B", "C" Block system. Each team in a Block is played once and teams are re-seeded into new Blocks according to their records in the last 3-game Round. Aggregate season points are used to re-rank the teams in the next Round. Team points submitted with OJI Applications are used for seeding the first Round of the Season. A total of four 3-Game Rounds are played in a 12-Game Season. |

BLOCK POINTS & MOVEMENT: Four points are awarded for a win in "A" Block, three points for a win in "B" Block and two points for a win in "C" Block. Block movement is determined as follows: 1. Win-loss record for the just completed Round; 2. Ties broken by Record against each other in just completed Round; 3. If still tied, net of points scored for and against in just completed Round; 4. If still tied, then aggregate points for Season to date. |

WINNINGS AND FINES: Games are played for $20 per win. $20 fine for no-shows. $5 fine for teams playing with three players. No-show, or team short a player, is defined as team or player not being on the ice 10 minutes after game start. A player may leave after the 4th end is completed and the team may complete game with 3 players with no fine invoked. |

BANNER CHAMPIONS: The Optimist Junior Interclub Highpoint Division 1 Banner will go to the Champions of the 4th Round. |

GRAND AGGREGATE WINNERS: The Grand Aggregate Winners' names will go on the Optimist Junior Interclub Highpoint Divison 1 Grand Aggregate Perpetual Plaque. |

PLAYOFFS: All teams will play 2 games (Semi-finals and Finals). Seeding will be follow Block Movement format after Round 4. The Players' names of the winning teams of Blocks "A", "B" and "C" on play-off day will go on the respective Perpetual Plaques. |

Teams are encouraged to support local Junior/Juvenile bonspiels and enter juvenile and/or junior provincial or state playdowns. |
